2nd Annual Sporting Clays Classic to be Held in Support of Comprehensive Breast Center

University of Maryland Memorial Hospital Foundation has announced plans for its 2nd Annual Sporting Clays Classic, scheduled for Saturday, June 11, at The Point at Pintail in Queenstown. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Community Outreach Program at UM Shore Regional Comprehensive Breast Center at Easton.
This year’s Sporting Clays Classic will feature 75 targets, lunch for participants and various prizes, raffles, a silent auction and side games. Gun prizes will be awarded for High Over All (HOA); first place in each Lewis Class; first place ladies; and first place juniors. Prizes also will be awarded for the second and third place shooters in each category.
Participant registration for will begin at 8 a.m. with the shoot beginning at 9 a.m.; all participants must be on the course by 12 p.m. Participant registration fees are: $125 per individual and $500 per team of four. Registration is limited to 300 participants.
“Our expert Breast Center team, which includes Dr. Lilly, our radiologists and many other staff, are excited about the opportunity to provide expanded breast health services in a centralized location to the women of our region,” says Brian Leutner, director of Oncology Services for UM Shore Regional Health. “We are beyond grateful to the Foundation and to the volunteers and participants in the upcoming Sporting Clays Classic for their help in providing funding for our breast health services and outreach programs that are so vital in the early detection and treatment of breast cancer.”
After a 16-month renovation and expansion project, the Clark Comprehensive Breast Center will open its doors to patients at 10 Martin Court in Easton in April, 2016. Once completed, the expanded space will provide a variety of breast health services including consultation, diagnostic procedures, support services and outreach programs
