University of Maryland Memorial Hospital Foundation recently recognized Bruce Golt, a member of the Environmental Services team at University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Easton, as an Everyday Hero.  Golt was nominated by a family member of a previous patient for his willingness to assist in transferring the patient’s belongings in preparation for the patient’s transfer to University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Dorchester.  Golt’s assistance was even more appreciated by the family as it was offered in the midst of a driving rain storm.

Present for the Everyday Hero recognition were (from left to right) F. Graham Lee, vice president of philanthropy, UM Shore Regional Health; Bruce Golt, nominee; and Ali Khan, Environmental Services manager.

The Everyday Hero Program provides patients and their family members an opportunity to thank a University of Maryland Shore Regional Health physician, employee or volunteer by making a financial donation to the UM Memorial Hospital Foundation in their name.
