Hospitalist Honored as Everyday Hero
The EveryDay Hero presentation included F. Graham Lee, vice president for philanthropy; Haider Sarraf, MD; and UM Shore Regional Health’s senior vice president/Medical Affairs and chief medical officer William Huffner, MD.
Haider Sarraf, MD, who is a hospitalist practicing at UM Shore Medical Center at Easton, was recognized as an EveryDay Hero through the UM Memorial Hospital Foundation by Mr. and Mrs. James Mason. Mr. Mason was a grateful patient of Dr. Sarraf and wanted to recognize him for providing such outstanding and helpful care to him. The occasion marked Dr. Sarraf’s second EveryDay Hero Award in three years.
The Everyday Hero program provides patients, visitors and staff members with the opportunity to recognize and thank any UM Shore Regional Health team members who made a positive difference in a hospital visit or stay, by making a financial contribution of any size to the appropriate foundation. Funds received are used for equipment, capital improvements and staff education in the departments in which the honored team member/s work.
