University of Maryland Memorial Hospital Foundation held its first annual Sporting Clays Classic on June 13 at The Point at Pintail. This first-time event raised funds and awareness for the expansion of the Comprehensive Breast Center at University of Maryland Shore Regional Health.

The event attracted 251 shooters and netted $62,000; the Foundation already has set plans for the second annual Sporting Clays Classic, to be held June 11, 2016.

“The University of Maryland Shore Regional Health Sporting Clays Classic was a great success,” said Myron Szczukowski, MD, Sporting Clays Committee member. “We had 251 shooters and many sponsors helping to support UM Shore Regional Health’s Comprehensive Breast Center.”

In April 2016, the Comprehensive Breast Center at UM Shore Regional Health, under the leadership of Roberta J. Lilly, MD, MPH, FACS, will expand its services to the Diagnostic and Imaging Center, located at 10 Martin Court in Easton, which is currently undergoing renovation. Once completed, the expanded space will provide a variety of breast health services including consultation and diagnostic procedures.
