The Cancer Center at University of Maryland Shore Regional Health recently hosted a special visitor when Santa made a trip from the North Pole to Easton to deliver “thinking of you” and “get well wishes” to area cancer patients. George Jackson, a Caroline County resident who devotes his time to getting scrolls signed for U.S. troops overseas, delivered the 200 ft. scroll filled with signatures to the Center just in time for it to be displayed during the holiday season.

Accepting the scroll from George Jackson, “Santa” (center), are Brian Leutner, director of Oncology Services, UM Shore Regional Health; Sharon Richter, BSN, RN, CCRC, OCN, clinical research nurse, Cancer Center; Jennifer Dyott, MSN, CRNP, FNP-C, Comprehensive Breast Center; Diana Evans, Cancer Registry; Mary Deshields, MD, medical oncology; John Mastandrea, MD, radiation oncology; Kathy Hurley, RN, OCN, outpatient chemotherapy coordinator; Patti Willis, senior vice president, strategy and communications, UM Shore Regional Health; Melissa Kelly, coordinator, Comprehensive Breast Center; Robin Ford, MS, RN, OCN, radiation oncology; and Susan Henry, RN, outpatient chemotherapy.
