Symphony Village Outreach Donates to Claws for a Cause Event

Symphony Village Outreach Committee made a donation of $1,250 to University of Maryland Memorial Hospital Foundation to kick off the 4th annual “Claws for a Cause” crab feast set for July 14, 6–9 p.m. at Fisherman’s Crab Deck in Grasonville. Claws for a Cause benefits the UM Shore Emergency Center at Queenstown and this year’s proceeds will support the purchase of new telemedicine equipment.
“Residents of Symphony Village find it both reassuring and gratifying to know that the Emergency Center and its top-notch team of medical professionals are here to help us in our time of need,” says Bea Trotta, president of Symphony Village Outreach Committee. “We are proud to be able to help the Emergency Center continue to achieve its goals and we look forward to being able to continue our support for such a valued facility.”
Symphony Village Outreach is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide financial support to local social services within Queen Anne’s County. The funds were raised for Shore Emergency Center at Queenstown through the group’s 7th Annual Card and Game Party, where more than 90 participants gathered in support of the Emergency Center.
“We appreciate this generous donation to help launch our Claws for Cause crab feast and advance the technological sophistication of emergency care provided at UM Shore Emergency Center at Queenstown,” says Graham Lee, vice president for philanthropy for UM Shore Regional Health. “Community support helps us to continue providing state-of-the-art emergency care in the Queen Anne’s county region, both for local residents and those passing through.”
