Congratulations to Donna Allen, who created the winning entry (shown above) on behalf of Talbot Hospice. Pictured are Graham Lee, vice president for philanthropy, Melinda S. Rojas, community health outreach worker for Talbot County Health Department; Laura Frase, RN, community health nurse (colorectal cancer and tobacco cessation manager) for Talbot County Health Department and Melissa Kelly, coordinator, Comprehensive Breast Center at UM Shore Regional Health.

The Talbot County Health Department’s fundraising event, “Bras for a Cause” raised $460 for UM Shore Regional Health’s Comprehensive Breast Center.  Participants were invited to decorate a bra for entry in a competition to raise funds and the decorated entries were displayed at the Easton Fire Hall on October 28. Community members came in to see the display and “voted” for their favorite entry or entries at $1 per vote.

“We are very grateful to the Talbot County Health Department for their efforts in supporting our Comprehensive Breast Center,” says Lee. “In addition to the funds raised, ‘Bras for a Cause’ helps promote community awareness of breast cancer and the excellent treatment and support services our Breast Center provides.”
