UM Shore Regional Health team members, volunteers and breast cancer survivors gathered for the annual tree lighting event.

A group of UM Shore Regional Health team members, volunteers and breast cancer survivors gathered earlier in October to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month with the annual Pink Ribbon Hanging and Tree Lighting Ceremony at UM Shore Medical Center at Easton. Due to inclement weather, this year’s event was held in the main lobby of the medical center; however, the rain did not dampen the spirits of those attending this moving annual event. Pink ribbons have since been placed on the tree in front of UM SMC at Easton in honor of the 169 patients diagnosed with breast cancer this past year at the Comprehensive Breast Center at UM Shore Regional Health.
