Meet therapy dog Jess, who visits University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Easton every other Thursday to provide comfort to patients and family members in same-day surgery, Cardiac Rehab, as well as rehabilitation patients at the Requard Center for Acute Rehabilitation at UM Shore Regional Health. Jess even takes request visits! She belongs to Ben and Millicent Sheets.

Today, Jess and her handler, Liz Hannegan, top right, president, Auxiliary of Memorial Hospital at Easton and Pets on Wheels handler, showed Jess around the hospital with a special visitor, Charlotte Sheets, bottom left, who is home from college for winter break.

Charlotte said she is so proud of her Jess for all the happiness, smiles and comfort she brings to patients and families. Thank you for your service, Jess!
