Since 1982, the UM Memorial Hospital Foundation has provided UM Shore Medical Center at Easton with more than $29 million in support for the centers, programs and services that benefit our local community. From advanced therapies used to treat cancer to new technologies in the emergency department, your gifts have made a difference in the lives of our patients and their families every day.

UM Memorial Hospital Foundation supports the hospital by actively raising funds for its centers, programs and services. By donating today, your gift directly impacts the centers, programs and services, equipment and supplies, and most importantly the patients and their families who come to the hospital for health care.

UM Shore Regional Birthing Center:     Donate Now

Located at UM Shore Medical Center at Easton, Shore Regional Health’s Birthing Center provides complete care for expectant mothers and their families. Private birthing suites are equipped with special lighting and Jacuzzi tubs for laboring, along with the latest technological devices to ensure a safe labor and delivery experience for mom and baby. The caring team of doctors, nurses, midwives and lactation specialists provide family-centered care during this very special time.  The Birthing Center also provides a host of services including educational programs on labor and delivery, infant safety, breastfeeding, and infant CPR.

Clark Comprehensive Breast Center at UM Shore Regional Health:    Donate Now

Led by fellowship-trained breast surgeon and medical director Roberta J. Lilly, MD, MPH, FACS, along with breast surgeon, Dr. Susan T. Forlifer as well as a team of compassionate professionals, the Clark Comprehensive Breast Center offers comprehensive services for benign and malignant breast disease.  These advanced services include screening and diagnostic digital mammography with Tomosynthesis – also known as 3D mammography; breast ultrasound and MRI; surgical care for all benign and malignant diseases of the breast; the Wellness for Women screening mammography program; the Survivors Offering Support Program; and a Women’s Health Boutique for post-mastectomy garments, prosthetics and swim wear.  Drs. Lilly and Forlifer along with their dedicated team deliver quality, patient-centered care with a focus on appropriate therapy to return the patient to family, work and everyday activities as soon as possible.

The Cancer Center at UM Shore Regional Health, along with the Requard Radiation Oncology Center and the Lenny Satchell Chemotherapy Suite located in Easton, is the hub of the extensive cancer program that offers a full array of services for patients with cancer. Our highly trained, professional staff provides an interdisciplinary approach to cancer care, while providing hope and support for patients and their families. From diagnosis, treatment, support and survivorship, our patients and their families are never alone. Our comprehensive technology combined with a personal touch and superior patient-centered care provides patients with access to the best cancer treatment options available in the community.

Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Services at UM Shore Regional Health:    Donate Now

The Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Services team of professionals work closely with physicians to diagnose and treat patients by providing a wide range of services. The services offered assess the health and condition of heart, lungs and blood vessels so that physicians can prescribe the most effective and appropriate treatments to keep people healthy and active through all stages of life.

Staffed by board-certified doctors, nurses and technicians, UM Shore Regional Health Emergency Services are ready to handle a wide array of serious illnesses and emergency situations, including stroke and cardiac patients. Emergency services are provided at four locations including Emergency Departments at the UM Shore Medical Centers at Easton, Chestertown and Dorchester, and the UM Shore Emergency Center at Queenstown. Each center is open 24/7 to provide urgent care to those in need. Additionally, Express Care is available at UM Shore Medical Center at Easton.

Palliative Care Program at UM Shore Regional Health:     Donate Now

The Palliative Care Program addresses each patient as a whole person, taking into account the patient’s comfort, emotional well-being, dignity and spirituality. The Palliative Care Program is offered at the UM Shore Medical Centers at Easton, Chestertown and Dorchester. Palliative Care services are also delivered in non-acute settings, such as patients’ homes and assisted living facilities. The goal of the Palliative Care Program is to promote optimal health by helping patients manage the progression of a chronic disease with education, support, symptom management and restorative care.

Stroke Center at UM Shore Medical Center at Easton:    Donate Now

The UM Shore Medical Center at Easton is designated as a Primary Stroke Center by the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems (MIEMSS). This designation means that stroke care is expedited and coordinated according to the highest standards. The Stroke Center experts also work throughout the five-county region to offer educational programs for community organizations and groups to raise awareness about stroke prevention, stroke symptoms and the importance of receiving immediate medical attention.

Requard Center for Acute Rehabilitation at UM Shore Medical Center at Easton:    Donate Now

The Requard Center for Acute Rehabilitation at UM Shore Medical Center at Easton is the first and only comprehensive acute rehabilitation center of its kind in the five-county region served by UM Shore Regional Health. The Requard Center’s program provides hospital-level care 24/7 with a team of specially-trained healthcare professionals, representing several disciplines, including rehabilitation nursing, physical therapy (PT), occupational therapy (OT), speech/language therapy (SLP), case management and outcomes management.
