Delmarva Pets on Wheels surprised team members in the Requard Center for Acute Rehabilitation and Cardiac Rehabilitation at UM Shore Medical Center at Easton last week with surprise luncheons hosted to help celebrate Jake’s Legacy, a pet therapy program which will support pet therapy, particularly focused on literacy programs in schools and libraries. Jake’s Legacy is made possible through a generous donation from Dr. and Mrs. Scott Thompson, owners of Jake, a Golden Retriever who visited the Easton hospital and Talbot Hospice for a number of years.

The two luncheons were hosted by Linda Diprima, president of Delmarva Pets on Wheels with assistance from Lizette Hannegan, president of the Memorial Hospital at Easton Auxiliary, and Dr. and Mrs. Thompson were on hand for both events.
