UM Memorial Hospital Foundation to Host Free Seminar, “Estate Planning: Trusts – Pitfalls and Configuration”
University of Maryland Memorial Hospital Foundation will host an informative seminar, “Estate Planning: Trusts – Pitfalls and Configuration” on Thursday, May 25 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Talbot County Public Library, located at 100 West Dover Street in Easton.
This informative seminar will explore why you need a trust now or in the future, the differences between a trust and a will, common trust types, uses and mistakes and what the affects a trust has on your taxes and heirs.
Guest presenters will be Elizabeth Spurry, CFP, CTFA, president, Tred Avon Family Wealth and JoRhea Nagel Wright, Esq., partner, Armistead, Lee, Rust & Wright, P.A.
Spurry is president and owner of Tred Avon Family Wealth in Easton. She is a Certified Financial Planner and Trust and Financial Advisor. She is actively involved with the Women and Girls Fund, For All Seasons, The Sultana Education Foundation, the May Foundation and the Planned Gifts Committee of UM Memorial Hospital Foundation.
Wright is a partner with the firm of Armistead, Lee, Rust & Wright, P.A. She has experience in advising individuals in the areas of estate, gift and income tax planning and compliance. Wright’s estate, gift and income tax background enables her to advise her clients in a holistic manner and tailor their estate planning needs to their individual situation. She serves on the Planned Gifts Committee of UM Memorial Hospital Foundation, the Major Gifts Committee for Habitat for Humanity Choptank and is a member of the Talbot County Advisory for Mid-Shore Community Foundation of Easton.
