UM Shore Regional Emergency Nurses Certification Class Funded by Memorial Hospital Foundation

Through an endowment fund established by the Jane Foster Tucker family, University of Maryland Memorial Hospital Foundation funded a certification review class for UM Shore Regional Health nurses working in Chestertown, Dorchester, Easton and Queenstown emergency departments.
“On behalf of the staff and leadership of all four emergency departments, we are extremely grateful for the financial support of the Foundation to provide a high quality review class,” says Renee Edsall, emergency services educator at UM Shore Regional Health. “The class provided a unique opportunity for our staff to further expand their knowledge and expertise in emergency nursing, and to prepare for the Emergency Nurses Certification Exam.”
Emergency nurses help patients from infancy to older adults with an array of health issues, from less acute needs to very complex problems. “Keeping our Shore Regional Health staff educated and preparing them for upcoming certifications is an important key to providing the community with the best care they can possibly receive,” says Graham F. Lee, vice president for philanthropy for UM Shore Regional Health. “Memorial Hospital Foundation is proud to have helped these nurses in qualifying for this important certification.”
